The Palestinian death toll from the nearly three-year Israel-Hamas war has surpassed 74,000, according to Gaza's Health Ministry, as violence escalates across the region.
An Israeli airstrike killed Izz al-Din Al-Beik, the head of Hamas's armed wing in the northern Gaza Strip, on Tuesday, 30 September 2026, Israeli and Palestinian sources said.
According to Reuters, the strike targeted the northern Gaza Strip, killing the senior Hamas commander. Two Palestinians were also killed and eight others injured when an Israeli drone targeted displaced people at the Halawa camp east of Jabalia in northern Gaza, Anadolu news agency reported.
In Gaza City, one Palestinian was killed when an Israeli drone struck the roof of a house on al-Nafaq Street in the al-Tuffah neighborhood.
