Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan staged a large-scale rally on Sunday, October 5, 2026, marking the third anniversary of the Israeli onslaught on Gaza, expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine. Addressing the rally, JI leaders said " Netanyahu】 is a terrorist who is carrying out terrorism in Gaza and Palestine," according to Dawn newspaper report published today October 5th, 2026. The rally comes as Israel marks three years since October 7, 2023, with Israel imposing closures on West Bank and Gaza crossings on October 5 and 7 for anniversary ceremonies, while continuing its offensive in Gaza despite a ceasefire that went into effect on October 10, 2025. JI leaders added that large-scale rallies expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine provided them with moral strength and reassurance that Muslims around the world stood with them. Dr Al-Subki said Gaza and Palestine were subjected to bombardment daily, while mothers, sisters and daughters were being killed, the report stated. According to Gaza's Health Ministry, a total of 1,445 Palestinians have been killed and 5,072 injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since a ceasefire went into effect on October 10, 2025, with emergency responders reporting continued strikes in western Gaza City. The rally in Pakistan reflects growing Muslim world outrage as the third anniversary approaches, with similar solidarity events expected across OIC member states, including Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, and other Islamic nations. Pakistan, a strong supporter of the Palestinian cause, has consistently called for an end to Israeli occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital. The JI rally called on the OIC and international community to take concrete action to stop Israeli aggression and protect Palestinian civilians, especially women and children being killed daily.
