Nablus, West Bank | October 7, 2026
Israeli forces raided the occupied West Bank city of Nablus early Wednesday, imposing a curfew in several areas, searching homes, and detaining Palestinians. At the same time, military bulldozers demolished memorials dedicated to Palestinians killed in the conflict, according to local sources cited by Palestinian and regional media.
The forces reportedly entered Nablus from several directions before dawn, accompanied by military vehicles and a bulldozer. A curfew was then imposed as troops deployed across various neighborhoods.
According to local sources, Israeli forces searched homes in areas including Al-Dawar, the Northern Mountain, Rafidia, and Khallet Al-Amoud. The operation reportedly caused damage and disruption inside several properties.
A military bulldozer also demolished memorials in the Al-Dawar and Ras Al-Ain areas. At the same time, Israeli forces reportedly removed photographs of Palestinians commemorated at the sites. Several Palestinians were reportedly detained during the raid. Local reports identified journalist Umair Istitieh among those detained, along with several other residents.
