UAE Creates History: Launches World's First Islamic AI Fatwa Platform Approved by Grand Mufti In a groundbreaking development for the Islamic world, the United Arab Emirates has launched the world's first Artificial Intelligence-powered Islamic guidance and fatwa platform, officially approved by the UAE Grand Mufti and the Council of Islamic Scholars. The platform named "Noor AI" will provide 24/7 Islamic guidance on matters of Halal and Haram, Islamic finance, inheritance, prayer, fasting, and daily fiqh issues. Key Features: • Approved and supervised by 50+ leading Islamic scholars from Al-Azhar, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia • Provides answers in 15 languages, including Arabic, English, Urdu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi - first time for Indian Muslims • Can instantly verify if a product, food ingredient, or cosmetic is Halal by scanning a barcode • Offers Islamic finance guidance for banking, loans and investments • 100% free for all Muslims worldwide The UAE Ministry of Islamic Affairs said the AI does not replace scholars but serves as a tool to make authentic Islamic knowledge instantly accessible, especially for Muslims in non-Muslim countries who cannot easily reach a scholar. The platform has already issued over 100,000 answers in its beta testing with 98% accuracy rated by scholars. This move positions the UAE as a leader in Islamic technology, combining Islamic tradition with cutting-edge AI to benefit 2 billion Muslims. Why this matters for Indian Muslims: For the first time, Tamil- and Malayalam-speaking Muslims can get instant, scholar-approved Islamic guidance in their mother tongue - a huge benefit for Kerala and Tamil Nadu Muslims.
